A man has been charged in connection with an armed robbery in Norwalk last month.
Jimmie Springer, 33, of Norwalk faces charges of first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit fourth-degree larceny, the Norwalk Police Department said in a statement issued Thursday.
Police said officers responded to Woodward Avenue on Nov. 17 shortly after 9 p.m. on the report of an armed robbery. The caller alleged that a man was outside with a firearm, threatening individuals, according to police. The caller also alleged that a second individual had stolen money from them.
Police said both suspects took off before officers arrived at the scene. Detectives were allegedly able to identify one of them as Springer before obtaining a warrant for his arrest.
Springer was remanded into parole after being taken into custody. He is set to face a judge on Dec. 30.
