Two teens have been charged in separate arsons involving portable toilets outside a historic home in Wethersfield.

Casey Miller Dudzinski, 18, and Nathan Daniel Caron, 19, of Glastonbury were each charged Wednesday after investigators identified them as suspects, according to the Wethersfield Police Department. They each face charges of third-degree arson, conspiracy to commit third-degree arson, second-degree criminal mischief and conspiracy to commit second-degree criminal mischief.

Police said the charges stem from incidents reported on July 20 and Aug. 3 during the early morning hours. During each instance, an unoccupied portable toilet was intentionally set on fire and permanently damaged, according to police.

The portable toilets were outside the Solomon Welles House, at 220 Hartford Ave., which was built in 1774.

According to police, Dudzinski and Caron were identified following a “comprehensive investigation” conducted by patrol officers and the Detective Bureau. They each posted a $25,000 bond and are expected to appear in New Britain Superior Court on Jan. 7.
