Two people face charges after state and local authorities raided an apartment in New London on Tuesday and reported finding multiple types of narcotics, including crack cocaine.

The raid was carried out just before 9 a.m. at an apartment on Green Street, according to Brian M. Wright, chief of the New London Police Department.

Wright said the search and seizure warrant was executed by narcotics investigators with his department as well as the Connecticut State Police Statewide Narcotics Task Force-East.

During the search, authorities allegedly found 10.5 alprazolam 2 mg pills, 8.5 grams of methamphetamine, 47.7 grams of crack cocaine, two digital scales with a white powdery residue on them and $935, according to Wright.

Following the search, two people who live in the apartment were arrested. They have been identified as 34-year-old Fabian Hernandez-Martin and 39-year-old Felicia Bruning.

They have both been charged with three counts each of possession of a controlled substance and a single count each of possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.

It was not immediately clear if they were held in custody.
