After a dominant performance at USC on Saturday, the UConn women’s basketball team swept the Big East weekly awards for the third time in six weeks.

Huskies star Azzi Fudd was crowned Player of the Week for the second time this season and fourth time in her college career. The redshirt senior guard led UConn with 17 points, four assists and three rebounds in the team’s 79-51 rout of the No. 19 Trojans, also shooting 6-for-11 from the field and 3-for-6 from 3-point range. Fudd is averaging 50% from the field, 53.1% on 3-pointers and 100% at the free throw line through 10 games.

UConn has won all but two Big East Player of the Week honors so far in 2025-26 with sophomore forward Sarah Strong also earning the recognition twice.

Freshman forward Blanca Quinonez completed the sweep for the Huskies, winning her third Freshman of the Week honor. She logged 12 points against USC for her fourth double-digit scoring performance of the season, also adding four rebounds and a team-high four steals to her final stat line. Quinonez is currently UConn’s third leading scorer averaging 10.1 points, and she leads the team in 3-point percentage hitting 58.8% on 2.1 attempts per game.

The Huskies return to Big East play on Wednesday night when they host Marquette at PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford. UConn is out to a 2-0 start in the conference with victories over Xavier and DePaul, and both wins were by more than 60 points.
