State police are investigating a serious crash that shut down Interstate 84 East in West Hartford on Tuesday afternoon.
Troopers from Troop H in Hartford responded to a report of a car versus pedestrian crash on I-84 East in the area of Exit 46 around 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the Connecticut State Police.
State police said serious injuries were reported.
The eastbound lanes of I-84 were shut down as the Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Squad reported to the scene to assist in the investigation.
