Foxwoods Resort Casino will soon become home to the flagship location of one of the state’s most beloved culinary icons and now described how it will look.
Yes, it’s Sally’s Apizza.
This will be Sally’s most design-forward and expansive restaurant yet, featuring an open-concept kitchen with their signature coal-fired ovens, elevated interiors inspired by Wooster Street, and seating for approximately 200 guests, a casino spokesperson said.
Sally’s will take over the California Pizza Kitchen space, which will close on Jan. 4, 2026.
The celebrated New Haven pizza restaurant was founded on New Haven’s historic Wooster Street in 1938.
“Welcoming this flagship Sally’s Apizza to Foxwoods is a landmark moment, ” said Jason Guyot, president and CEO of Foxwoods Resort Casino.
“This isn’t just about welcoming an icon; it’s about bringing that legacy to life where Sally’s signature coal‑fired craftsmanship meets the energy and amenities of New England’s premier integrated resort destination,” Guyot said.
The large space will showcase next-level interior design that blends industrial elegance with vintage touches inspired by the original Wooster Street location, a resort spokesperson said.
Expect rich textures, warm woods, and custom lighting, and curated memorabilia celebrating iconic Connecticut legends, including Marilyn Monroe and Keith Richards. Monroe lived in Connecticut while she was married to Arthur Miller.
“This flagship represents the future of Sally’s, where the craft and familial spirit of our New Haven roots meet bold design, energy, and excitement,” said Sally’s Brand Advisor Christian Bonaventura.
“Foxwoods gives us the platform to dream bigger, and to create an atmosphere that’s as unforgettable as our pizza,” he said. “It’s a moment that celebrates the best of Connecticut culture, while shaping its next great culinary chapter together at Foxwoods.”
This restaurant will be located in the Great Cedar Concourse.
There are currently seven locations open for business with five in Connecticut including New Haven, Fairfield, Stamford, Wethersfield and Farmington. There are two locations in Massachusetts that include Woburn and Dorchester.
Foxwoods, Danbury and Norwalk among the massive expansions for Sally’s that lists 11 total new locations in the works, according to the Sally’s website. Sally’s will open up in new states including one in Florida, in Boca Raton and New York, at Roosevelt Field, and Rhode Island, in Cranston. Three more locations in Massachusetts are also coming soon including Boston Seaport, Concord and Weymouth.
