The Berlin football team remained undefeated with a 42-0 win over Platt Tech in a Class M quarterfinal game Wednesday night in Berlin.
Second-seeded Berlin (11-0) will face No. 6 Holy Cross, a 51-21 winner over No. 3 Rockville on Wednesday, in a Class M semifinal game Monday at 6:30 p.m. at Sage Park in Berlin.
Quarterback Cody Puzio completed seven of eight passes for 122 yards and four touchdowns for the Redcoats. Carmine Rio had three TD receptions and Nick Balicki had two touchdown runs in the first quarter.

Sheehan quarterback Jake O’Brien completed 8 of 13 passes for 110 yards and three passing touchdowns and rushed for 92 yards and another touchdown in Sheehan’s shutout of North Branford (9-2) in a Class S quarterfinal game Wednesday night.
No. 5 Sheehan, last year’s Class SS runner-up, will face top-seeded Woodland, a 42-14 winner over No. 8 Bloomfield Wednesday, in a semifinal game Monday at Woodland.
Josh Duran rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns for Sheehan (9-2).

Senior quarterback Vincent Burbank had 141 yards rushing and two touchdowns and completed 16 of 22 passing for 175 yards and two more touchdowns as Northwest Catholic (10-1) won a Class S quarterfinal game against Cromwell/Portland in West Hartford Wednesday night.
Northwest Catholic, the sixth seed, will face No. 7 Ansonia, a 34-14 winner over Seymour in a quarterfinal game, Monday night in West Hartford.
Cromwell/Portland quarterback Michael Sitaro Jr. completed 17 of 30 passes for 239 yards and rushed for 92 yards and had three touchdowns.

Class LL football: Sophomore scores five TDs in Southington win
Southington 35, Glastonbury 30
Ben Beaulieu scored all five touchdowns for Southington as the Blue Knights pushed past Glastonbury on Wednesday night. Beaulieu rushed for 138 yards on 15 carries, while quarterback Luke Prozzo completed 9 of 16 passes for 132 yards in the win. Fourth-seeded Southington (8-3) will host No. 8 NFA, a 35-0 winner over top seed New Britain Wednesday, in a Class LL semifinal game on Monday night at 6:30 p.m.
