Paige Bueckers has plenty of swagger on the court, but she’s proven she’s got some humility off of it.
The UConn women’s basketball legend would show up on anyone’s list of the greatest Huskies ever, but when she was asked for her all-time starting five, she didn’t choose herself.
Asked the question by Whistle Sports, Paige went with Sue Bird, Diana Taurasi, Maya Moore, Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart.
Certainly not a bad five.
When asked the question two years ago, Breanna Stewart chose a similarly selfless five— naming Bird, Taurasi, Moore, Tina Charles and Rebecca Lobo.
“I can’t name myself?” she then asked, smiling. “I would pick myself too.”
Bueckers was asked during a 1v1 golf challenge with Taurasi for Whistle Sports, which is tremendous viewing for any UConn fan.
Bueckers and Taurasi dueled on the course, gave insights into their UConn and WNBA careers, and of course, talked plenty of trash.
