A pedestrian was killed in a crash in Branford on Thursday.
The victim was struck by a vehicle in the evening hours in the area of 13 N. Main St., according to the Branford Police Department.
Police said the driver remained at the scene following the collision and has been cooperative with investigators.
The victim’s identity was being withheld while officers worked to notify their family, police said.
North Main Street was closed between Main Street and Cherry Hill Road while emergency crews and members of the South Central CT Traffic Unit were at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
