A fire ripped through a barn in East Windsor in the early morning hours Friday.
The blaze broke out around 1:30 a.m. at a barn off of Route 140 where crews responded and found a “large” fire, according to the Broad Brook Fire Department.
Firefighters shut down part of Route 140 — which is also North Road — to access a fire hydrant across the street, fire officials said. Main Street in the area of Wesley Road was also blocked off while crews battled the blaze.
The fire tore through the barn and caused extensive damage.
No injuries were reported.
The roads in the area had reopened as of about 5 a.m., fire officials said. It was not immediately clear what caused the fire.
