A Connecticut developer has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman.

Daniel C. Suozzi, 43, of Fairfield was arrested Thursday in connection with a warrant charging him with first-degree sexual assault, according to Sgt. Jenna Wellington of the Fairfield Police Department.

Wellington said the arrest stemmed from a month-long investigation that was conducted by the department’s detectives. Police allege Suozzi sexually assaulted a woman who was known to him.

Suozzi — a founding partner of Westport-based ROAN Development Ventures — was released after posting $50,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Nov. 25.
