A food content creator is teaming up with the Connecticut Office of Statewide Marketing & Tourism to answer one simple question: “Why does Connecticut have the best pizza in America?”
“In his newest YouTube feature and companion social content, [Trigg] Ferrano takes viewers inside the pizzerias, onto the streets, and into the community that turned ‘apizza’ into a global standard—New Haven, CT,” according to a statement. “The surprising conclusion: it’s not just the decades old ovens, the dough, or the pizza toppings—it’s the people and their purpose.”
“Ferrano—who has over 1.7 million followers across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, spent time inside iconic and emerging Connecticut pizzerias to ‘pull back the curtain’ on what makes the state’s pizza culture so influential,” the Connecticut Statewide Marketing & Tourism went on to say.
“His findings echo the ethos behind his own platform, TriggTube.com, built to help people make better food by removing the mystery from technique, tools, and craft.”
“I came to Connecticut to learn about its pizza,” said Ferrano. “What I found was a community. Every shop, in New Haven and beyond, had people who wake up every day driven by purpose, tradition, pride, and hospitality. The technique matters, but the heart behind the food matters more. That’s what makes Connecticut special.

“In today’s fractured media landscape, creators like Trigg help us spread the word further, faster, and with greater credibility,” said Anthony Anthony, Chief Marketing Officer for the State of Connecticut. “People follow creators because they trust them—because it feels like a relationship. When creators tell our stories, they carry the voice, connection, and realness that audiences respond to. Partnering with them isn’t a trend; it’s a strategic advantage in reaching people authentically in our digital world.”

“Working with Trigg shows what happens when strong creative meets real credibility,” said Morgan Nyerick, Creative Director for SMT. Nyerick co-developed the project. “This is exactly the direction we’re headed. In January, we’re launching a new website to help Connecticut businesses understand the content creator ecosystem and learn how to collaborate with them effectively. On January 13, we’ll host our first CT Content Creator Collaborative event to connect creators and businesses directly. This is only the beginning!”
