One person is in custody in connection with a stabbing in Naugatuck that landed two people in the hospital.
Officers responded to the area of Margaret Circle on Sunday just before 10:30 p.m. on the report of an assault involving a knife, according to the Naugatuck Police Department.
Police said they took a suspect into custody, though they were not immediately identified.
Two people were taken to an area hospital, according to police. The extent of the injuries was not clear.
Police said members of the department’s Detective Division responded to the scene and are investigating.
“The investigation is in its early stages; however, there is no threat to the public at this time,” the police department said in a statement late Sunday.
