A woman was taken to a hospital after being stabbed during a domestic violence incident in Torrington on Tuesday, police said.
Police responded to an unspecified address on Aetna Avenue at 12:47 p.m. on the report of a stabbing and found a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds, according to Sgt. Kyle Johnson of the Torrington Police Department.
Johnson said the victim was treated at the scene by officers and medics before being taken to Saint Mary’s Hospital. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Johnson said police have not arrested anyone in connection with the stabbing, which he said is considered domestic violence.
“There is no threat to the public,” he said in a statement.
The incident remains under investigation.
