State police arrested 42-year-old Andrew Lampkin and 46-year-old Jonathan Riopelle both of Vernon. They each face charges of improper parking on a highway, negligent pedestrian and third-degree larceny.

Troopers allege both men tried stealing DOT signs from the highway. A photo released by state police shows multiple Exit signs that were loaded onto the back of a pickup truck.
