Two CT men charged with operating a drug factory after a raid. Guns and cash confiscated.

The Police Narcotics Unit arrested two men in the city after executing a search and seizure warrant on Capen Street.

The investigation led to the arrest of Hector Santiago, 31, and Adiel Santiago, 22, both of Hartford on multiple charges, including allegedly operating a drug factory.

Hartford Police Narcotics Unit was assisted by the Emergency Response Team and the Connecticut State Police Narcotics Task Force and the investigation allegedly uncovered “narcotics were being distributed from within the residence and that “detectives seized multiple illegal items,” according to Hartford Police Department  on a social media post.

Among the illegal items found during the search were: a Glock 9mm handgun reported stolen out of Glastonbury, a SCCY 9mm handgun, with an obliterated serial number, an extended magazine containing 26 live rounds, numerous boxes of ammunition, 26 grams of unpackaged fentanyl (enough to package approximately 1,040 bags), 39 grams of crack cocaine, six grams of powder cocaine, $340 in U.S. currency and drug factory materials, according to Hartford police.

Police said the suspects were taken in without incident.

Hector Santiago is charged with criminal possession of a firearm, removal of a serial number, possession of narcotics and operating a drug factory, according to police.

Police said Adiel Santiago is charged with possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a large capacity magazine and operating a drug factory.
