CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Two people are seriously injured following a shooting off North Tryon Street Thursday afternoon, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.
Medic reports the shooting happened around 3 p.m. Thursday, March 6, at the intersection of Northchase Drive and Merrick Street. This is near Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School.
Both victims have life-threatening injuries.
CMPD reports area schools are on lockdown as a precautionary measure and said the shooting did not happen on school property.
The identity of the victims or any suspects is unknown at this point.
