LANCASTER COUNTY, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A driver has died and another hurt after a two-vehicle crash in Lancaster County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred on SC Highway 5 (Rock Hill Highway) near Old Hickory Road around 9:25 a.m.
A 2000 tractor-trailer was traveling west on the highway while a 2008 Honda minivan was traveling east. Officials say the two vehicles collided head-on.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was injured and taken to a local hospital by EMS. The driver of the Honda died at the scene.
Details on the deceased have not yet been released.
The crash remains under investigation by SC Highway Patrol.
